I don’t know about you, but my summer has flown by! I didn’t make it out east, but we did find a new home and are in the process of finalizing that purchase as I type this (hooray!). I’ve also been very busy in the garden these past few months. I decided to grow some flowers, herbs, and cucumbers from seed for the first time and then watched in amazement as they became bigger and more plentiful than I could have ever imagined. We’re currently in the middle of the Great Cucumber and Tomato Harvest of 2019, so if you know any good pickle or salsa recipes, please send them my way! Although I’ve enjoyed the time off, I’m also keen to get back into the swing of things. Aside from resuming my traditional singing duties around the GTA, I’ve got two very different kinds of events coming up in September. I’m very excited to be collaborating with my friend Linda Lonseth for our very first music and meditation night! We’ll begin the evening with a restorative meditation session followed by a soundbath complete with vocals, piano, flute, and singing bowls. Don’t worry, Linda and I will be providing the sounds, but you are more than welcome to add your own! Join us for a one-of-a-kind experience at 7:30pm on Friday, September 13th! More information below. If you’re craving a more traditional type of soundbath, I’ll be pairing up with Suzanne Yeo on September 10th for a short concert in downtown Toronto. This concert is part of St. James’ Cathedral’s mid-day concert series and will showcase some of our favorite pieces from “The Eternal Feminine,” “Cosy Così,” and our upcoming “Decadent Delights” concerts. This free concert begins at 1pm on Tuesday, September 10th at St. James’ Cathedral. Donations are welcome; any and all proceeds come directly to Suzanne and me. I hope to see you soon! Daniella |
